An A to Z Coronavirus observational guide. . . E

E

Epidemics, Education, Economics and the Environment.

Ok strictly speaking Covid-19 is not an Epidemic it’s a Pandemic, seriously more scary because it kind of means it’s out of control globally. Well that’s a reassuring thought.
Here in Britain this has led to a Lockdown on movement so all the Schools have closed. MMMMmmmmm well not entirely true even if the main news media kept telling us this was going to happen. You see schools had to stay open for key workers so they (the key workers) could continue working. The issue is half the countries working population appear to be classed as key workers so rather a lot of schools are open. But there is a lot of home education going on too and a lot of live web sites trying to get noticed by the kids or parents of kids who are all trapped at home.

OK Economics, yes things are bad and most countries are throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at trying to maintain a degree of confidence in the financial system that oils the wheels of world economics. I am not optimistic and am expecting the worse. Hey half my own savings have gone so I would really prefer things to work out. Maybe very long term they might who can tell.

Now even the worst of things can have a positive angle if you look at it in the right way; even Covid-19. Because there have been little signs that the Environment has shown signs of recovery. Nature you see can bounce back if it’s allowed too which right now it is. Although once we defeat the virus we will once again take our revenge on nature and make sure that its recovery is but just a blink of Gods eye. O yes we don’t want all that clean air and water messing up our cities, rivers and open spaces, we need pollution it is what we are used too.

    1. There is grass sneaking up in places on our drive. And I am not a good gardener which is why our garden is full of wildlife.

  2. My kids are home from school, which has a lot of problems for their education, and is a real problem for a lot of families, but for us it is kind of nice in its own way, too.
No, this isn't the most upbeat A-Z, but it's not unreasonable to be feeling pretty downbeat about things! Hang in there.
