The Red Planet (Mars) DNA Programming and the Great Martian Quest

OK not great pics of the Blood Moon but I was quite pleased
bearing in mind my dodgy telescope and camera

Have you noticed an interesting trend towards Mars based stuff, even as I type this those clever chaps at NASA are telling the world of the discovery of water still appearing on the surface of Mars in recent times. And it is worth considering that recently there has also been growing talk of trips to Mars. And even the private sector has talked of such things in the future, telling folk to book now for a window seat.

But is there more to all this than meets the eye is it possible that us humans are just part of a cunning plan by Martians. You see long before man was running about and pointing telescopes into space it was said that Mars would have probably had an Earth like atmosphere and environment. If life on the planet developed in the same way as it has on Earth then it is possible that millions of years ago Mars might have had highly intelligent life, long before Earth was even capable of supporting any life as such, even at cellular level

It is also possible that this intelligent life was aware for what ever reason that their own planet was doomed for many millions of years as far as any form of reasonably sized critter was concerned. So what they did was seeded Earth with the DNA of their own species knowing that one day an intelligent creature would eventually evolve that would be programmed to return to Mars and re-inhabit it.  So rather that Man going boldly into space it might be man is genetically programmed to return to Mars because that is our original home. A bit like we all like to go to the sea and watch it for hours, when the reality is its just water splashing about. But its sort of in our DNA we came from the sea, the point is did the critters that evolve in the sea start as a genetic engineering project by Martians.

Look at what happened last night at 3:00 am here in Britain, we were all out looking at the Moon . . .  A Red Moon. Now we are all told it was red because the Earth obscures the sun and the resulting effect is a Red Moon, but maybe not.

Mars is called The Red Planet maybe this Red Glow is some sort of strange beam from the Planet Mars enhancing mans desire to go to Mars, even the background glow of the universe is called The Red Shift.  You see it is all adding up, just how many films have been made about Aliens from Mars, OK sometimes they make films with aliens from other planets but they are few in number in comparison.

I think in a few thousand years the remains of Mankind will be looking towards Earth from Mars and laughing hysterically about us, finally knowing we were merely a stepping stone in the great Martian plan to return to their own planet to recolonize it. Mankind will no longer be Mankind by then, they will be 100% Martians and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

Except maybe. . . . . . . . . . No I’m sure you don’t really want to know.

I bet that Professor Brian Cox is a Martian.

Alien Spiders from Mars . . . (The Ziggystardium)

It has been some time since we have seen Mr Jones the alien hunter so it was a surprise to see him peering into the Ghost Writers car about lunch time. It appears that unknown to the Ghost Writer his car has become an incubator for a particular race of spider like aliens from Mars which Mr Jones says are called the Ziggystardium. The ghost writer himself is not too bothered and says they can stay there for now, but Mr Jones went OOOOooooooooooooooooo.

According to Mr Jones they will quickly grow into huge things and are not friendly and will probably suck the brains out of the Ghost Writers head, something aliens have a habit of doing quite a lot.  The Ghost Writer says that his brains were sucked out years ago so YA SUCKS BOO, but Mr Jones says that he will regret saying that when he is trapped in a traffic jam on the M6 with his head covered in aliens and a policeman knocking on his side window.

The Aerodynamics of the Mad March Hare and how to teleport a spider

Well there I was having a busy day of Theoretical Mathematics, The history of the Byzantium Empire in History. The Economics of a double dip recession and Quantitive Easing in Economics.  The Aerodynamics of the Mad March Hare in Natural History. And how to teleport a spider from one large glass jar to another five feet away in Physics by modifying two old microwaves, rather than using Esmeralda’s steam catapult made for the school goat. I think Esmeralda had not thought about the fact that the spider was slightly less than half the weight of the school goat and so the headmaster was rather annoyed by the large hole in the ceiling. The Spider was rather annoyed at finding himself in the freezer section of the out of town supermarket too and as he is a rather large spider as I said about half the weight of the school goat who is, to put it bluntly a bit fat from living on school dinners and sacrificial pupils (Ooooo sorry I was not meant to mention that was still going on……..DAMN sorry Headmaster). Anyway yes the spider was rather annoyed and it was a bit of a shock for the supermarket staff who thought at first it was the goat, but realized when an innocent bag packer was spun into a ball of silk and taken off to a quiet corner to be eaten later. The only good thing is they will appreciate the arrival of the goat a bit more next time, once they have worked out how to get a large spider out of the store.

What was I saying AH yes I was having a busy day, then arriving back home thinking Ooooooo goody I can chill and have a quiet time looking at Mars (OK I have not given up yet I am stubborn) and pondering nice gooey food with thick cream and hundreds and thousands on. When all of a sudden I am in a muddy hole digging mud helping sort out some drainage that needs sorting.  Surely that’s not fair I am not meant to be in muddy holes in winter when it is not only wet and muddy but also cold. Still as the dog says life is all Mud and Sun

The day before a possible Snow Zombie and trouble on Mars

Today was a very lazy day indeed I am battling my way through a wet cold winter. I have just been outside and although it is dark we do have about an inch of snow on the ground, it is not the best snow in the world because I don’t think in its present state it will make a very good Snow Zombie but there is a whole night to go yet so maybe by morning a Snow Zombie might be possible. Although it is a school day and I am not allowed to be excused school to make zombies which seems incredibly unfair to me.

I have managed to dismantle a cupboard today that was on a wall,  which is very impressive because it had been put up in such a way as to stop people taking it off the wall, mum was well impressed and said IDIOT before setting the armadillo toaster on me again.  I wonder if it is possible to cut a Snow Zombie in half with a chainsaw or I could attack it with the log splitter, I guess I will need to make the Snow Zombie first but that will not be tonight in the dark or even tomorrow I think; as I need to do the stuff I need to do.

OK off again don’t worry I will make it through these lean times and all will be well again. Ooooooo by the way I might give up on Mars, my computer keeps crashing out on the site and although the very clever Ghost Writer has looked at it he thinks my computer is a bit to old and the internet connection a bit too slow. All a bit ironic when you think it took hours for each of the pictures to be transmitted from Mars in the first place that I may be scuppered from being able to help as a result of not having superfast broadband…….

Mars and the Cat

Today was rather cold and misty first thing, and rather quiet as we were expecting the mad axe-men with chainsaws to arrive today to chop the big bit of tree down, but they never arrived probably because they have had to go and sort out another job of greater importance.

With all this astronomy on the television in the form of Skygazing Live myself, the Ghost Writer and Mr Jones thought there might be a bit of resurgence in interest in aliens but it appears that this is not the case. I think most people are still sulking after the anticlimax of the End of the World which sort of didn’t and those huge alien monsters sort of turned out to be next doors cat again.  I think another significant issue is that Stargazing Live is a science program and in general the masses are not fans of science, and yes I did mention maths yesterday so sorry about that.  However one good thing is I have joined the Mars mapping thing, a web site where you have to mark features on Mars, it is not super exciting because as the dog insists they have air brushed all the aliens out.  And just at present the site appears not to be reliable, probably due to a surge in interest; academics always have a bit of a scare when the masses arrive on mass to their web sites resulting in a giant crash. Well if you will tell all the geeky folk watching a nationwide well advertised geeky program it is to be expected.

The site by the way is at the following, but don’t expect it to work all that well until the novelty of it wears off in a few days time, such is the mind of the human being

Please note this image is the property of Planetfour or Mars

Sooty the Cat has started his new Guinness book of records attempt today at eating as much food as you can in one day. He is up to 12meals so far I think it might be more we are all hiding from him because of the noise he is making. He is only little and must be close to eating his own weight in food in one day. I know that cats are a bit prone to eating more the colder it gets but it is due to get colder yet and there is only so much food  a supermarket can stock……..

I am definitely in the middle of a mid-winter writers block too, so writing my diary is a right old game at present, I can hear that Harry Potter laughing hysterically in the distance waving his wand and shouting Writiousium Ablankious Nowordiox, I always said never trust a young wizard with bad plastic surgery on their forehead in a vane attempt to do a re-enactment of Zorro the Movie . . . . .

Ooooooo I have just missed Stargazing Live too due to events (and people say there are no Aliens, really I must remember to take the camera next time)….. Lucky I had a small stick with me PHEW.

As it says in the song . . . Be yourself no matter what they say

The Mars Rover, one small 4X4 for man one giant leap for a chicken

As I said last night I got to go to Brecon with the Ghost Writer who said I need to do something exciting now because he is getting bored, that is not very nice. His day went remarkable well considering it is the fickle Brecon base where the computers get affected by the old stone circles in the hills, and then worse still people using them to do stuff.

We are both well exhausted now and rapidly running out of steam, much like the Olympics. I guess with today sort of returning to normal here I just started to get the feeling that the edge and glory of the great British Olympic jolly has just sort of peaked now and the big dark arms of normality will soon embrace the country again.  Even the main news has returned to politics and war now so that is a sure sign that we have turned a corner.

However Mr Jones the Alien spotter is very happy he says that the Americans dropping a large 4X4 on Mars is bound to get some sort of response from the Martians. No one likes having someone else’s 4X4 dropped in their back garden by surprise, well not unless it has a big bow on it and you are given a card saying Happy Birthday and a set of keys. I don’t think that is what is planned because one thing we do not know about life on Mars is when its birthday is (OK Mr Jones says he does). I did see a brief bit of film of the 4X4 being dropped but I did not see what happened to the thing that dropped it.

So Mr Jones is off to the woods tonight with a birthday card and a cake (a green cake) with 12,934 candles on it and jingling a set of keys. They are not the right keys (not the 4X4 on Mars), they are the keys to his slightly rusty ex Fed-Ex van which he has hand painted in day-glow green with an alien head on the roof. Not a real one, he might tell you it is real but it is made of papier-mâché and plastic milk bottles…….. and green.

Sadly it is a little know fact that Man is not the first to reach Mars someone has been there before us……. MMMMMMMMmmmmmm
