Just very quickly in passing it was hot again
but we did have rain, yes I counted at least eight spots of rain and it must
have lasted all of thirty seconds. Also very quickly in passing I was standing
on the roof today and I have realized somehow I have lost my head for heights,
not sure how that happens but it appears I have. I think I need to get up there
again and acclimatize to the situation, after all for reasons that are far to
long to explain I have done more basket transfers than Captain Flint the Parrot
has had Brazil nuts.
At school we have been
doing geology in the newly dug caverns under the school. The science teachers
have assured the headmaster that digging huge caverns under the school does not
require planning permission and they are very cool and spacious. Most of the
pupils have been helping and the headmaster even gave permission to go to the
chip shop at lunch time as long as we discreetly dispersed soil down our
trouser legs on the high street. Luckily the local press have blamed all the
soil on the hot weather bringing excessive sand from the Sahara
desert.
However the girls were
excused from disposing of soil on the grounds that their school uniform does
not lend itself to discreetly disposing of soil and they also tend to scream at
worms a bit.
Myself and Freddie decided
that what these caverns needed is a large colony of bats so we spent the day at
school hunting as many bats as possible, we found several species some of them
quite large including, the Cricket Bat, the Rounder’s Bat, the Tennis Bat and
the Baseball bat……… HA HAHAHHAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAHAHH HAHhahah hahah
ahahahhahahah.
OK I am off to carry on
with the Olympic Sculpture again (The Cultural Olympian) it appears I have a
few more days than I thought I had, and I have a cunning plan in order to get
it finished in time.
.
I, too, tend to scream as small squirmy things and small quick darting thing. ughhh.
ReplyDeleteSo you will not be watching the Olympics then..............
DeleteYou know, if you look at the word 'Sand' and 'Sahara', they are very similar, so the news people may be right even though your group is doing the lets bring the dirt from our POW camp escape tunneling out and spread it out where the guards won't notice. Both words start with Sa and the n looks like the h with the top part knocked off, most likely a strong wind, and the fourth letter d looks like an a that has been watered and blossomed up. a->d
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry, I hit the publish button instead of the preview button so I could edit my comment. I was going to mention something about the final ra part of Sahara falling off, probably landing in the Mediteranian Sea, but then I realized I don't know how to speLL the name of the sea, but then noticed that I had at least had an 'ra' in the middle of it, so that is more proof that the ra of the Sahara sand landed there.
DeleteI finished reading your story. Besides collecting bats for your cavern, you could get oars and put them in a container. Then you would have [tah dah] ... 'bat man' and 'row bin', hahahahaha ha ha ha hahahahahaha .....
DeleteThanks for you contribution to the blog Me ESB it is always appreciated. I rather like the row bin idea if by any chance the container should have a bright red logo on it, it would become a row bin red crest and would be ideal for Christmas HO HO HO.
Deletea J could be a pruned U.... But I am struggling to find a use for this information
As for the Mediterranean sea I cant spell it either by my trusty PC has corrected things correctly (it is not always so obliging).
"... a J could be a pruned U", I loved this and [almost] immediately thought of this: Uuice - which is, of course, unpruned Juice, with should not be confused with: Prune Uuice - which would be unpruned prune juice, which is the favorite drink of Junicorns, The Eastern BJnny, and Santa ClaJs, which secretely is the non-carbonated form of Dr Pepper. Oh, that reminds me, I forgotto teLL you that on my return journey from Lubbock the other day that I had a sasparilla drink. I saved the bottle so I could take a picture of it, wiLL put that on my blog soon.
DeleteI will stick with the unpruned Juice with no prunes, I am not a fan of prunes.
DeleteJust as a matter of interest the other day you mentioned buying marble effect paint in a spray can.... And today in the DIY store I have bought stone effect paint in a can. True not quite marble but even so I was impressed, it will be a few days at least before I get to try it and see if a cardboard man will look like he is made of stone or not....
That's a lot of different bats you've found, I wouldn't want to go in those caves! There's a surprise for you on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award it is very king I spotted it last night but it was too late to do much other than say thanks. I am starting the think it would be very east to blog 24-7. OK yes I would need to run off to the loo and maybe stop to eat but other than that it is possible to blog all day.... however this is not a good move as I have many others things to do.
