A final Word from a YES Supporter of Scottish Independence....... then its back to Zombies again (tomorrow)

Well it appears that the Yes supporters lost, what can I say. . . . except damn damn damn damn damn damn dmandam ndmam ndman mdndm mnamd nnd n mand damn damn damn danm daamnananm mdan manndn mamdnamnamdma dndn mdn namm mdmdm n mdan damn damn dman mdan damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn dmandam ndmam ndman mdndm mnamd nnd n mand damn damn damn danm daamnananm mdan manndn mamdnamnamdma dndn mdn namm mdmdm n mdan damn damn dman mdan damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn. We was robbed

And all these promises made by the politicians in Westminster I suspect will vanish in a haze of Smoke and Mirrors as they say . . . Well of course it’s not that simple, what with the charter of 1735 and we need the support of Golden Elves found only in the high mountains of Tibet at dawn . . . . . . . . .

Still they tried (the Pro Independence voters); they held their pointy pencils high, put their cross on the ballet paper and ran screaming at the huge concrete wall of opportunity only to bounce off into the muddy hole of crushed dreams. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  For now, but folk need to remember the Motto of Scotland, after all we are used to supporting a football team that loses a lot. . .  “Nemo me impune lacessit”, or: "No one provokes me with impunity . . . . . . PAL “, and we have pointy sticks.

WE WILL BE BACK…..

  1. I think it's for the best. Being independent isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I remember when I got my first house. It's all bills and noisy neighbours and not knowing where the stop tap is for water when the noisy neighbours come round claiming to a have a leak and you have a shared stop tap and need to turn it off....
All in all we are one country and one nation.

I do believe we are better together and will one day be able to put the GREAT back into GREAT BRITAIN....

PLUS! i lost a 10p bet because I thought it go through..... TEN PENCE!!!!! won't see that back any time soon.

    1. I think the thing is the yes voters know Scotland is a wonderful and wild place, but it can be hard up there. They see news headlines about rain and storms that are just everyday life in Scotland, folk in the South earning large sums of money with houses increasing in value at rapid rates, decent transport and all sorts of things that they can't get. Often it is the folk from England who have the better paid jobs and buy the nice houses because they have the cash. And although they are generally on the left of politics they have ended up with Thatcher, Blair and Cameron in recent years none of which were particularly popular. Scotland is a very proud nation and yet it is often referred to as part of England by some or it did up till this week.

I suspect more people in England have been to Spain than have been to Scotland. I would love to return to live there but sadly for various reasons it may never be possible now. But luckily I get on rather well with the English.

As for your 10p Mr H you should have taken note of my Blog I have said we never win stuff it is our curse.

  2. Mr Z, I couldn't have put it better myself. The fifth line of 'damns' especially, illustrates quite clearly the barrage of emotions that I am feeling right now.

Tis a shame though. I was really rooting for the 'yay' supporters.

    1. It will never be Miss Lily until the oil has gone and the fish stocks have been deep fried and eaten. It would have been exciting and unknown both things that are not conducive with the modern finance, business and politics of an international corporate world.

  3. I am sorry Rob that you feel so bad about it all. But I think that if a dream takes root then it eventually flowers.

I have developed great respect and admiration for the Scots after reading about Douglas Jardine who captained England for a while and was instrumental in winning back the Ashes from the Australians during the 1932-33 series. There is something magnificent about how he faced a nation's wrath yet never flinched.

    1. Us Scots are a bit like that, a stubborn bunch even when the odds are against us. However it does mean we are not always popular.

  4. Damn. I did not expect the vote to go the way it did. There will be other opportunities, hopefully. Also, running "screaming at the huge concrete wall of opportunity only to bounce off into the muddy hole of crushed dreams" is on my family crest.

    1. Someone once told me that the huge concrete wall of opportunity came with a door but apparently its a concrete one with a padlock and a large scary man with a big dog in front of it.
