Writing Gibberish on a Quiet Sunday Afternoon

I am going to conduct an experiment today as part of an ongoing experiment in writing and observation (when I say ongoing I am lying) so I plan to type gibberish. Not gibberish as in. . . . ajdfn;  ;a;n  njdjahuerqwpuqw  hfha jadhajdhjd. . . . . or even Bling bling pop pop splat. . . but gibberish as in . . . . . . free frogs injected with orange holding mugs singing, mugs don’t normally sing or eat cake. . . . . . . .  In fact I am not sure how easy this process will be, but it’s a quiet afternoon so let’s give it a go……

Men tilting on the side of a slope always lean forward, hats fixed firmly to their heads. Dafadils never blow about in the depths of the ocean when whale’s tap dance in a state of hypnotic trance holding ice cream made in a furnace.  Wood screws would be useful to fix such things but not today where there is rain in the bath and people are walking on a sheet of paper. Those people of course are watching the men tilting on the side of the slope, men that always lean forward, hats fixed firmly to their heads.

Why is it legs move forward at different rates, and eating hard boiled eggs will not help as I have noticed many times while in the dark. A deep dark that is the result of no light which is in turn the result of clouds passing the freezer in the hallway which stands alone next to nothing . Standing alone next to nothing always helps when there are things about that folk don’t want to stand next to.  I don’t stand next to the people who of course are watching the men tilting on the side of a slope leaning forward as they always do, hats fixed firmly to their heads.

Well I have had enough of this experiment now because quite frankly it is not easy to write like that. It reminds me of the days when people who thrust a microphone in your face and tell you to say something as they hit record on their tape recorder.  I was never sure whether it was the microphone that was intimidating or the tape machine, but although people often have photos of family and friends it is rare to have old recordings of them speaking.

NO that last bit was not part of this experiment it was actually me typing proper stuff even if it was not entirely clear that it was proper stuff. The same as this, this is not gibberish but sensible text. . . OK sort of sensible. . . . OK YES it is not but it is as good at this blog gets.

I think more folk should type gibberish the world would be a better place for it.

How come it is the end of May already HOW did that happen . . . . . At this rate I will be a year older in no time . . . .Phew.

  1. Brilliant! I thoroughly enjoyed the gibberish because it let my imagination run free. I lapped at my ice-cream before it melted, and danced happily with my pod. There is something very liberating when we see a world like it really is - raw, simple, malleable, untainted by left brain influence.
Creativity is stymied, stilted, locked down; when all it wants it a little time out of its cage. Mine is allowed free run - just like the chickens that lay my eggs!

This really was brilliant - and so much fun to read!

Thanks, you started my day with some much needed free running! My creativity thanks you too!

    1. Well I am glad you liked it but it is harder than it looks or it was/is for me, I guess we get programmed into writing in a set way about things. Although I do try and avoid that, and it is my excuse to avoid any sort of editing.

  2. I have no problem writing gibberish but I must say that I love the line "whales tap dance in a state of hypnotic trance holding ice cream made in a furnace."

    1. I think I need to write more gibberish, although I am not entirely sure what it would do to the blog which is already a fairly confusing affair what with one thing and another.

I might feel a bit more confident about the prospect if I could type and spell, it is bad enough at present and I sort of know what I'm writing about.

  3. Excellent job, sir. I love a bit of blog experimentation and I think this yielded some results. Most assuredly, the spy community will be using some of these as code: "Men tilting on the side of a slope always lean forward." Response: "Daffodils never blow about in the depths of the ocean." Then they exchange missile codes.

    1. I do have a spy friendly blog and it is regularly monitored by GCHQ, MI6 and the CIA in case I spill the beans about their involvement in the banking crisis as they tried to manipulate world economics towards their own end.

But I have told them that their secrets are safe with me and I will not tell a soul or is it sole or is that the fish.

AH DAMN I feel I may have just let the cat out of the bag so to speak . . . just as well I have some fish.. . . . .

I feel my comments may have now turned into gibberish also, that is rather annoying.

      Ooooooo look a seagull.

  4. I usuaLLy eat a single hard boiled egg with salt, pepper and garlic powder. But today I added a small amount of a fourth ingredient: prepared mustard - it was such a great addition that I had two eggs instead of one.

    1. I am doing something Englishy today: I am reading about Charles Dickens book Great Expectation. I watched a brutal civil war movie set in Papua New Guinea starring Hugh Laurie which had Great Expectations embedded in it. It is titled Mr. Pip.

    2. My wife almost ordered a new Keurig coffee machine early this morning but said she was too tired to change the TV input to switch over to get the telephone number. She had said 'lazy' but I really think she meant tired. So we drive an hour's distance to have lunch with my younger son who gives her a Keurig machine as a birthday present from his older brother, who lives far away.

    3. I think that the gods were involved in your wife not buying the coffee machine, because they knew that one was making its way towards her. Gods sometimes do little things like that and I am sure there must be some godly reason why, but I am not a god so I dont know what it is.

I rather like Hugh Laurie but have not seen anything he has been in, in ages. Great Expectations OOOooooooo, well done that is much better reading than my blog although not as long. My blog is now longer than War and Peace but with less plot.

I have not eaten a hard boiled egg in a while. I suspect it may have been in the form of a Scotch Egg last time, maybe something new for you to try one day.

    4. I have neVer heard of a Scotch Egg, wiLL have to investigate. I am sure that leSS people have died in your blog than in War and Peace. You might think of your blog as Peace With A Piece of War. Or maybe a better title is A Piece of War and A Lot of Peace. It is my semi-lazy Monday close to my birthday so I am somewhat lazy today, making a huge batch of gumbo. Either today or tomorrow I am making lasagna for my wife. We have different favorite things so her lasagna is different than mine. I have spent the day getting tired, and by that I mean I had new tires put on the Wifey's SUV. But for now I am taking it easy after a most strenuous printing week. My cousin even told me I sounded tired on the phone this morning. So today is just cooking and a minimal amount of laundry and a veRy smaLL amount of sweeping. My friend in London from Washington state went across the Up At The O2.

    5. One advantage of folk dying in cyberspace is that they can always return to life; it has happened often in my blog. In fact it would be a far better way to conduct wars.

Tyres can be expensive in Britain depending on the vehicle so I hope they did not cost you too much.

My wife and I often eat different things because she is a vegetarian and eats lots of healthy food and I am not and dont.

The walk across the O2 (millennium dome) is new to me I have just looked at it on YouTube. . . I have an interesting story about the millennium dome and the futile destruction of one of the exhibits that were in it for the millennium. I will try and remember to write about it.
