I am in a bit of a rush tonight I have been
searching the wondrous world of cyberspace for information on Mr M’s old Guild
guitar a single pick up CE 100 which seems to date from 1960 although the tail
piece seems to be from an earlier time and looks classic 1956. Old guitars to some folk are like steam
trains or old motorbikes or rare books or stamps, mind you most of the folk
such things appeal too are in general men and quite often men of a certain age
who like to potter about with other men of the same age looking at these things
and going OOOOOOOo that is a humbucking
pickup from the old New York workshop made by Mr Smith or even his dad . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . Or OOOOOooo
look a condensing double level braking cylinder screw mechanism.
Anyway we popped up to Mr
M’s house to ensure all is OK which it is or at least we think it is as far as
we can tell considering there is piles of stuff and several rusting dead cars
and large holes in the ground. It would
be an ideal place for a classic Zombie movie although getting a film crew and a
load of Zombies up the hill would be far from easy……….
Right I must go as it is
getting later than I planned to be writing my diary, but before I go I must say
WOW that was some sunset tonight I went out to take a picture and there were
other folk doing the same, a clear sign that it must have been jolly good,
normally it is just me pointing camera’s at the sky (and pointy sticks).
The sky looks angry at you for taking so many pictures of it without giving it any royalties.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to contact you rgarding the Muppets For Justice blog tour, but couldn't find an email address. Just hit me up on addman_00@hotmail.com when you have the time.
Thanks
No Problem with the email Mr Addman I was planning to be in contact very soon, but things have got a bit busy over the last few days......
DeleteDon't worry though I have not forgotten about helping on your blog tour.....
I think your guitar looks eXactly like the one I had as a child, perhaps age 13.
ReplyDeleteWe are just getting ready for Thanksgiving and having several out-of-town guests. My son helped clean out the icebox and the wife got me TWO buffalo steaks after them being absent for about a month. Shirt business is reaLLy picking up. Our largest order yet was a 100 shirt order printed on both sides which we managed to do the actual printing in a half day with two presses and three of us working, plus a day of design work. The stand finaLLy arrived for the Roland GX-24 so I wiLL get started today learning how to use it.
We are having a shortage of acini di pepe pasta. Luckily my daughter-in-law found some while traveling to Borger. My wife makes a holiday dessert caLLed Frog Eye Salad.
DeleteGlad to hear business is going well Me ESB and good luck with the Roland.
DeleteNot sure about the sound of Frog Eye Salad, but I will say I was always a great fan of the Frog Eye Sprite....... A very cool looking little beast.
That's Mr ESB not Me ESB I know I am not you, this keyboard is rather rebellious
DeleteMy virtual keyboard on my touchscreen Toshiba is terribly unreliable when using the mouse. It gives a false positive that the key is selected and even makes sounds ..but.. no results, emptiness, remarkable. I wiLL upgrade to Windows 8.1 and see if there is improvement. As far as the Me you had there instead of Mr, my brain must have subconsciously autocorrected it because I didn't even notice it until you me ntioned it.
DeleteWe made postcards showing each season from our site, the one for autumn is a sunset not too dissimilar to that sunset. We do get spoilt sometimes with weather like this.
ReplyDeleteQuite agree about the weather although it was a little colder than I would have liked. Our old house never had sunsets due to its position so I always find sunsets like this well awesome.
