The Toast and the Tiger

The Slightly eccentric A to Z blogging adventure of unknown and rather unpopular Modern fairy tales
2013

T The Toast and the Tiger

"TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST TOAST" said the turtle

"I want some toast" said the terrapin

"And a toasted Teacake" said the tortoise

"I don’t need all this trivial talk of toast" said the TIGER

"And a tankard of tea toO dunk my toast in" said the TURTLE.

"What kind of tale is this" said the Tiger

"A toasted one" said the Turtle, Tortoise and Terrapin

"TIME for bed" said THE Tiger

THE  end? . . . . . . .

    1. Many thanks I am just sort of coasting to Z now, and digging in the garden and contemplating making a wooden Buzzard to scare pigeons (I am like that).

    1. Indeed it is uncanny, it just goes to show there is nothing new under the sun (sort of). If only those Greeks had eaten more TOAST history might have been totally different.....

  3. I could see them aLL sitting at a bar singing the famous drinking song about people being immune to fatal wounds at leg joints: "For he's a jolly good fellow, which no one can knee die." Hahahahahaha

    1. I noticed that your Sunday and Monday posts had what appeared to be the same picture of a snake. After 17 hours of painstaking research, I concluded they were probably the same picture.

    2. Your research is correct Mr ESB they were the same picture. My abbreviated 'A to R' Sunday fairy tale needed an ending and a large Snake always makes a better ending than a Round Rabbit. But I did not fancy drawing another picture so I used the same one twice... A Snake in the hand is better than two on the drawing-board as the old saying goes?

Ah yes the classic old knee die joke as told by many a turtle after a few beers . . . . . HAH AHHA HAHH AHAH HAHHAH HAHAHa, the old ones are the best ones (that's jokes not turtles, OK and turtles).

    1. I would like to say I wrote a good post but that might be a foolish boast.
