The source of the fabled Minor Stream of In-consequence. The Joules Verne Pocket Oracle and Prophecy Machine, Abney Park and the big Autumn storm

It is an important day for many so me and the dog and Captain Flint the Parrot have been exploring the woods. It is very likely that if the house move all goes as planned we will be right at the far end of the wood at the end of a thin ribbon of wood that follows the fabled Minor Stream of Inconsequence the source of which is right next to our new house (well cool).

Only the source is a small boggy ditch; on the other side of which the other day when we went to visit was a horse and a pig smiling at us (well cool again) Bacon Butties YUM.  Anyway (I say anyway a lot) we were trying to find our way through the wood to the thin ribbon of wood known as The Madman’s Corridor. Not sure why but there is rumour that a madman scurries  about in the dark of night humming Tip Toe Through the Tulips, jumping into the  fabled Minor Stream of Inconsequence and shouting All Aboard hoist the main sail me hearties and set sail for blighty HAR HAR AHR  wheres my ferret.

Anyway we headed well into the woods heading South by North West as the crow flies but to no avail as it started to get dark and Captain Flint is not happy out in the wilds in the dark he recons the woods are full of foxes and badgers and no place for a civilized parrot. We did accidently stumble into the Moderate Stream of No Interest and got wet but we think it likely that no one will be interested so we carried on home.

As we arrived back at the edge of the wood we did notice that the crows and Jackdaws were being noisy and getting agitated but it is Autumn and they can tell that winter is not far away. The dog was wondering if it is the imminent arrival of the Autumn storm that the Joules Verne Pocket Oracle and Prophecy Machine predicted way back in the spring of book one. And that was the reason the crows were getting agitated, but the Joules Verne Pocket Oracle and Prophecy Machine has been pondering greater things lately and says he will talk to us soon ………. Maybe ………. depending on stuff.

The ghost writer has been looking at computers yet again and is off to the grey office in the morning to try and stop them all getting grumpy (the staff not the computers …… I think?), he says that’s his job (getting grumpy not working).

Mum and dad are still looking at stuff and trying to work out how they are going to move it all into the new house because there is a lot of it. I have hidden loads of mine under the bed so it looks like have thrown out things and tidied up, but don’t tell mum …………….AH.  Mum just said IDIOT.
