It is that time again a
time when we all say it is very sad
BECAUSE it is all over and what fun we have had when secretly we are all
going THANK GOD ITS OVER HAH AH AHAH
HAHHA HAHAH HAH AHH AHAH AH HAHA HA HA HA HA HA. So now it is time to
reflect on everything and ponder and write about our reflections in an
interesting and analytical way, something to grab the hearts and minds of all
the others who have finished the A to Z challenge and who are also secretly
going. . . . . . THANK GOD ITS OVER HAH
AH AHAH HAHHA HAHAH HAH AHH AHAH AH HAHA
HA HA HA HA HA. And who are also thinking DAMN I need to write something really
interesting that has not been written by all the others who are writing a
reflection post.
Every year I try to write
something new something different something unique and this year I have decided
to use the Big Dipper or as most folk around the world know them, The
Roller-coaster for the descriptive analogy of my progress along the path from A
to Z.
Well like the
Roller-coaster the A to Z has many ups and downs
It involves much screaming
While we are rattling
along with our eyes closed it seems to take forever to reach the end
But then once we reach the
end it seems like it took no time at all.
You often find that you
are bouncing about so much (and screaming) that it is impossible to hold a
proper conversation.
Folk often need to go and
lie down afterwards and have a little rest.
People having finished are
often silly enough to think Oooooooo I might do that again.
And most importantly it is
almost impossible to eat an ice cream at the same time.
Finally I think it is
worth pointing out I hate roller-coaster's.
So there you have it, I
along with many many many others have finished (almost?) yet another A to Z
Challenge. I have done many A to Z’s because I have done several at other times
of year and I think I have completed at least two every year since I started, so I have now done a minimum of eight
although ironically I have probably done more unofficial A to Z’s that official
ones. And why would I do that I can hear people wondering . . . . . . Well it
is simple I am an IDIOT.
I may take a little rest
next year and watch from the side, I am getting far too old for this and the
brain is not what it was, and it can start to feel a bit isolated down at the
bottom of the list. I mean I had to take
to commenting on my own blog for some street cred.
Finally (No it really is) I would like to
congratulate Master Meglos for finishing the A to Z, because he is certainly
the youngest person by far to have undertaken it, It is impressive for someone of Master
Meglos’s age to even attempt it, so getting to the end is a good start for a
young person with ideas of ruling the world.
That is very kind of you Rob. I really appreciate the mention, which made me smile...internally of course.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
You are more than welcome Master Meglos, that was an impressive A to Z even by adult standards and many of them never finish.
DeleteCongratulations on completely completing the task. But I didn't check to see if you missed any. If you would like some variety, next year you could pick a different alphabet, like the Russian one, for instance.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of numbers There is a lot of scope in a numbers based blog themes and there are lots of numbers to pick from
DeleteYes, that is a good idea, numbers. I know there are a huge number of numbers, seventeen, I think. These are the ones I know about:
DeleteC,D,8,5,4,I,L,M,9,1,7,6,3,2,V,X and 0
I think there is a bit of Roman in that lot Mr ESB. I do know that it was India that thought of Zero . . . . . . . . . . OK I think it was . . . maybe
DeleteI tried, hopefooly, to put them aLL in aphabetical order for you.
DeleteIt would be useful for a coding scheme, as everything changes except 9 would stay as 9 being in the 9th position and 4 and 5 switch.
DeleteI think this is a little more technical than my rather old and battered mind can deal with. I will put a bicycle wheel on my head and pretend I'm a penguin.
DeleteOr Greek. Take a couple Saturdays off to fit in 24 instead. Easy peasy.
ReplyDeleteAm off to lie down and do the secret haha thing now. Congrats for surviving the 2015 one.
Ooooo I have the A to Z well sussed and it is not hard really but I do like to do it in the full spirit of its inception or I hope I do, OK I make it harder than I need to. However it does rather disjoint my blog throwing its general uninformative and slightly mad format with me rambling about all sorts of rubbish based on vague facts no one knows. So I feel a rest is due next year with a change of tack entirely. . . An alternative with just me doing it
DeleteOoh, I meant to comment earlier when the Lil man mentioned that you had mentioned him, but I've been busy learning the consequences that drinking hot chocolate, quickly followed by lukewarm mocha with cream, is not such a great idea after all.
ReplyDeleteI almost had an heart attack when I saw the title! I'm just recovering from Z and thought, no, not the reflection post already! But as always, you are just ahead of the game.
And that was sweet of you to write about our future leader. He's response was a resounding "yaaay!" Which in Spawn speak, is the equivalent of doing cartwheels whilst singing Zippity Do dah. I kid you not.
I am not sure that I would drink hot chocolate, quickly followed by lukewarm mocha with cream, it does seem like a rather extreme thing to do. However that London lifestyle is one of many extremes such as loads of folk running about in a rush and folk still awake after 10:30pm.
DeleteI am sure the Lil man must be the youngest A to Z'er at 12 or 13 years old by a long way. I reckon he should get a special mention from the powers that be and a big shiny cup.
I reckon I should get a big shiny cup too for my efforts at avoiding being found by other bloggers.
Well hello again, you made it then
ReplyDeleteYep it was easy
Are you sure
OK it was sort of easy
cough cough splutter splutter
OK OK it was a damn lot of work what with drawing pictures, thinking up inventors and inventions, linking them up to form a coherent story and then adding that slightly quirky off beat humour that us Brits are famed for.
I thought so
Well the trick is always do all the work well in advance and then the A to Z is all fun fun fun
cough cough splutter splutter
OK a bit of Fun
cough cough splutter splutter
Yes OK it is like running a marathon on broken glass while folk throw pigeons at you that have been dipped in glue and then covered in hedgehog spines.
I thought so
Well exactly how did you know that then
You do smell a bit like a pigeon that has been eating hedgehogs . . . . . . . Oooooo I just fancy a butty now .
Yuck
Hahaha! Mr Z, you need to stop...wait...how does smelling like a pigeon that has eaten a hedgehog, make you want a butty??
ReplyDeleteWell I live less than ten mile away from the home of Hedgehog Crisps . . . . . I am not sure what happened to them, I haven't seen them in years. . . .
DeleteGreetings Mr. Rob,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, you my uniquely surreal friend has completed the last ever A to Z. It saddens me to think that the weird fascination with our alphabet will be no more. Confined to blogging history.
Of course, that will be after the next eleven months of your reflection posts. A roller coaster ride, scream if you want to go faster...
Nice mention of that young person. The future of blogging, perhaps.
Well done to you and despite my cynical, satirical leaning on the whole darned thing, bravo and bye for now, good sir.
Gary :)
Are you sure this was the last ever A to Z Mr G or are you being a little over optimistic in your pessimism
DeleteHaha! Your reflection post is wonderful!! I was so laughing about your introduction!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and cheers!
Thanks for the visit I do like to be different when it comes to a reflection post, as well as cheer folk up a bit
DeleteA hearty congratulations for finishing as well as being a great commentator and now for writing a very funny reflections post - with plenty of witty replies to others as well - is there anything you can not do? Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
ReplyDeleteSadly I can not get the cats to use the cat flap. . . I have to open the door or they look annoyed. For reasons I have never worked out they think they are in charge and I am there to pander to their every whim. The Dog was never like that it wagged its tail and was happy with a stick, a tin of cheap dog food and a run in the rain.
DeleteYou do this more than once per year. I think you have the correct diagnosis. You're nuts!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing. Again and again.
It is a good way to do a theme and makes you think so I will do some sort of A to Z at another point in the year (maybe not again this year) but is doing an A to Z at another time of year on your own an A to Z . . . . . Well not really I suspect.
DeleteI like nuts in particular Chocolate coated peanuts. . . Thanks for calling by I will say hello tomorrow it is very late here and time for me to sleep (I'm getting old and run out of steam these days rather quickly)
Congrats on finishing another A to Z Challenge and thanks for visiting mine today. I didn't get around to visiting as many blogs as I had hoped, but I've got a plan to fix that next year.
ReplyDeleteI too have had issues getting to visit blogs so I quite understand. Most of us have limited time and dealing with our own blogs uses most of it. So unless you can blog 24 hours a day there will always be limitations, and in general it is visiting and commenting on other blogs that suffers when time is at a premium..
DeleteWell, you made me laugh... i shall have to follow you. I have never been able to visit Blogger blogs before, but now have found a way which means I have been able to read yours, which is a happy happenstance. Congrats on finishing,, i can't believe you were forced to comment on your own blog, but as a handy hint, apparently the list god up at the end of January, remind yourself on your calendar! ~Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com (this is my blog address - Blogger takes you somewhere else!)
ReplyDeleteI am a close follower of the A to Z but choose to add my name towards the bottom. I am the rebellious one who is slightly avoided by the Hardcore (and hard working) A to Z team. I try to do my bit as best I can as an Ambassador for Mr B but I have a naughty streak in me that means I will have a grumble and moan at inappropriate moments.
DeleteI am glad you can now follow Blogger blogs some of us are very nice folk. I will come and visit shortly during a quiet moment in the rebuilding of our kitchen
Congrats on completing the A to Z Challenge! I'm one of those that was really sad for it to be over, but I will most certainly be doing something loosely based on it throughout the year. Mary @ www.jinglejanglejungle.net
ReplyDeleteI both love and hate the A to Z but I do find it rather interesting and it was a rather clever idea by Mr B.
Deletejust sayin' - there is 32 letters in Polish alphabet. ;)
ReplyDeleteOoooooo I have issues with 26
DeleteGreat Reflections post! It is a big job, doing and completing the A-Z. Congrats on finishing. Hope to see you around for the Road Trip!
ReplyDeleteMichele at Angels Bark
Many thanks, I have always enjoyed the A to Z and may well look in on the road trip. It depends on the things of real life however as I have a lot happening at present
DeleteHello there.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing the challenge! I didn't get to visit your blog during the crazy month of April so I'm popping over today from the Road Trip/Reflections linky.

It is always good to see a new face passing through my little home in the cyber-world. Enjoy your tour travelling the highways and byways of the A to Z, there are many interesting blogs to see
