Bradley Wiggins lookalikes, a huge ferret and a spider

It was the first day of the Michaelmas Fair in the Bishops Castle; he has always liked a good fair and lots of steam. In the past I have been known to play djembe but the old band of drummers has now dwindled to just the two of us and my colleague who lives in the Bishops Castle has run off to things more exciting for the weekend. So I have spent the day having a big bonfire, these things are very useful, it allows us to dispose of loads of garden waste, plus mum can dispose of old classified confidential papers from MI6 and the dog gets to toast marshmallows. As it turned out staying here and having a bonfire may have been the right move, as during the day three ambulances passed heading off in the direction of the Bishops Castle with lights flashing. Then a short while ago a police car with its lights and siren both going shot passed heading towards the Bishops Castle followed a few minutes later by an ambulance with its lights and siren going.

And no one can blame me as I was not there so PHEW.

This spider was passed by a Bradley Wiggins lookalike but showed no interest

First thing this morning we took a trip to Monty (the place not the man) to get stuff on the basis that getting in and out of the Bishops Castle would be a bit manic, only it was manic in Monty, not sure why but it was. But we saw loads of people and chatted, leapt out of the way of a man in a motor home who was a bit confused and determined to eliminate things and people, and got the stuff we wanted. We then saw a huge beast on the way home that tried to eat a Bradley Wiggins lookalike just outside Monty, it was either a polecat or a ferret but it was huge, maybe twenty feet long. But it did help us get past the Bradley Wiggins lookalike when it ripped the tyre of his bicycle and he vanished off into the hedge, they both vanished off into the hedge as it happens so rather convenient. Then after that we were confronted by a few more Bradley Wiggins lookalikes plus Bradley Wiggins dad lookalikes and what appeared to be Bradley Wiggins Great Great Great Great Granddad’s lookalike; although I must admit none of us know what he would look like.  I think all the Bradley Wiggins lookalikes may be to do with Tour of Britain passing through Montgomery yesterday.

In response I would Like to say........ OH no I dont

  1. I asked google "Where is Monty in the UK" but I could find nothing of value. Then I asked my friend Gomer who used to live in the UK, and he said, "I used to live right in the middle of Monty, a little bit to the right side, I called the place Mont-Gomer-y." I said, "Wow! Is that aLL true?!?!?" .... And he said, "No, not a bit of it, I'm from Canadian, TX."

    2. In fact by looking at the shops in Broad street with care on Google Earth Street View it is possible to see Robo-Santa in the Window of a shop. So reality is real indeed.

    5. No you have gone to far you need to look in the window to the right of the other Cafe called Castle Kitchen in the window above you will see some art hanging on the walls. What is interesting is Arthur street was filmed in May and Broad street in November.

If you are in Arthur street and by a shop called Bunners then turn to look at the other side of the road you will see our old house.. It has a little black car parked at the front and has the for sale sign outside....

    6. I looked at my current residence that we purchased in 2008, and Google Earth stiLL has the former owner's cars AND more importantly it shows the flowerbeds with their statues. My wife was convinced that the former owner of our house had taken a row of blocks from the south flower bed. I had to get aLL CSI-ish with old photographs to prove she was wrong, and now I have GE's photo as weLL.

Then I looked at my wife's place of business. When you look at the view from the south it has her white car on the south side of the building and no customers, but then changing locations looking west from Main Street her car is then missing, and now a dark SUV is parked in front. So Main Street was filmed completely separately from when Eighth Avenue

    9. Well Mr ESB you have how been in the virtual world of the place I lived for 28+ years.

I say 28 years but it is a typing error as I am the eccentric child of cyberspace not a grumpy old Ghost Writer. He has a least another 30 odd years in other places to deal with (odd I do mean odd)....

    11. Well once you find Castle Kitchen to the right of that the other half of the same building has a small bay window in that window is Robo-Santa. That little drawing was done by an artist called Michael Edmonds, he was one of the founders members of an art group known as the 56 group (formed in 1956) he is quite frail now and lives just round the corner in Montgomery ans is a good friend...
