There are still houses in the sticks (not many ) who do not have mains power or water or sewage commented or gas. Of these we don't have gas or mains sewage as neither is anywhere near us. But we do have water and electric PHEW. But our sewage is dealt with by an old three chamber part concrete soak-away. These things normally work OK but someone had let a huge willow tree grow three feet away from the last chamber. So it is full of roots, big roots that need to be cut out with a saw. So guess what the muddy hole is . . . . . . . . . .I am being good and not going into detail although there is little we can do until the willow is dealt with correctly, the ground around the soakaway is cleared and the weather improves a bit, there are some things men should not have to stand in . . . . . . . .YUCK Rob Z Toborhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03570498194207996145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8808596250801819029.post-24125743111788901902013-01-26T05:49:08.990+00:002013-01-26T05:49:08.990+00:00Interesting. June 3rd was my birthday. I was 21, which makes it about the 10th year running. 2. Why pray tell, was Chris the builder in a muddy hole? Which is not really a point but a question. So ignore my points...somehow that seem to come out wrong...

Glad comments are working again. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06418601369080683210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8808596250801819029.post-67933741056574418012013-01-25T23:25:51.539+00:002013-01-25T23:25:51.539+00:00Yes that is very true, and as I type on the news i...Yes that is very true, and as I type on the news it appears many are stuck in heavy snow while other are battling floods. It is interesting because I think there are many words that do not transpose well between countries.

It is a complicated thing language , full of pitfalls and ways to upset folk by accident.
