Nearly Poetry

I nearly saw the Nearly Bird
When it nearly hit my window
And nearly got a photograph
When it nearly
Landed on a stick

Then it nearly landed on my bird table
And nearly ate some bread
And was nearly caught by my cat
Who would have played with it
Until it was nearly dead
But the Nearly Bird
Has flown away
So now it is time to nearly go
As my Poetry has nearly
Reached the End
As I’m sure
You nearly know

The End

Noggin
Noggin
Noggin the Nog
Met a Witch, in the forest
But it did not end well as you might expect
And now Noggin’s

A Frog

  1. I met a nearly dead bird at my parent's a few Christmases ago. After it smashed into the window, it dropped into 5 inches of snow. I ran out, picked it up, warmed it in my hands for 20 minutes, and it flew off. Don't know if it lived long after that, but I can always hope.

    1. Our house has large windows and birds regularly hit them so I find I am often outside picking the little critters up and warming them up until they can fly again. I have posted a few pics in the past of various saved birds and I suspect there will be more in the future.

  2. Ooh a twofer. I do like getting two poems for the price of one.
I must say Mr Z, that in my opinion, your A-Z poems have been some of the best yet. I really am enjoying each and every one.

Right, I'm off to a mountain in Clacton on Sea, where there are some rather cheeky monsters residing.

  3. Had it been my poem, it wouldn't have been just nearly awful...

    1. If folk enjoy my poetry then I am a happy man. . . . and if folk slip me a plain envelope full of cash I will even smile for a bit as long as it is sunny.
