Diaries and other words

So about this so called diary that you have not been writing lately, I can hear you all think. What sort of feeble excuse are you planning to palm us all off with this time with your rubbish pictures and so called paradoxes.  Which looking from our point of view just looked like an excuse not to write anything?

Well I can tell you are not happy since I have stopped writing reams of total rubbish that makes little sense I have noticed that the page views on the blog have plummeted like the Great Mechanical Zombie Bird itself. There I was boasting to the cats that the blog was just a tad fewer than 10,000 pageviews for the month of July and at the present rate it will be back down to a couple of thousand at best in August.  Of course I did mention my concern about the fact I would no longer be covering major world sporting events as my Football  World Cup coverage was very popular (particularly with folk who don't like sport).

Anyway back to the point excuses, I have been busy and I think I have reached that point where I am suffering from writer's block again. I have a feeling this is because I have written loads, 560,000 words not including comments and drawn loads of pictures. In fact last nights picture drawn last night was a right old game and I was far from happy with the result so I am worried I have Artists block now as well. Even the poetry was a bit iffy and bad nonsense poetry is normally dead easy.

So I need a plan something to revamp things in a good way but not an exhausting gosh this is hard work sort of way, something that will make people think Oooooo this is an interesting diary this chap should get that very nice Steven Spielberg to turn this into a film.  Luckily I do think I have a plan one that I hope people will approve of, one which will keep the basic structure of my diary intact so I don’t lose my loyal followers (you know who you are).

So what is this plan I hear you now thinking in a slightly excited way. . . . . . .Well I thought I might introduce more Zombies, Aliens,  Mechanical things, Goats, ferrets, Lemmings, Pointy Sticks and ice cream and do some drawings………

WHAT DID YOU SAY

What you are fed up with    Zombies, Aliens, Mechanical things, Goats, ferrets, Lemmings, Pointy Sticks and ice cream and rubbish drawings done with a ballpoint pen. . . . . . . . .

AH DAMN. . . .

What about a nude alien hunter and a Grumpy Ghost Writer.

O God you lot are hard to please, OK I will add some science and stuff from time to time if you insist and maybe some real news. . . . . . But that’s it.

  1. Mechanical Zombie Aliens riding giant goats, being chased by Vampire lemmings with pointy sticks, drawn by ferrets using ice cream... seems logical to me! :O)

  2. I am not as bad off as you, for I think that I am only suffering from (the lesser) writer's brick. Oh, that was silly, hah, I had wrote "wiriter's" instead of "writer's" just then in the previous sentence!!! I am not much of a writer when I can't write writer right. I need a break, I am having too too many ink problems today so I left to come home for a nap but I have yet to fall asleep. One curious thing I just noticed, I am holding my iPad verticaLLy while laying in bed typing this entirely with just both thumbs. The dividing line on the keyboard is the diagonal UHB - everything to the right of those keys including the space bar is handled by the right thumb, and the left thumb aLL other keys. I am quite fast at JTT, just thumbly typing.

    2. I think small IThings have created new typing methods I quess the days of the qwerty keyboard may be numbered. . . . . I dont think I mean a qwerty keyboard with only numbers on it.

I hope you resolve those ink issues they can be fickle to say the least.

    3. We disc-covered that our ink problem was caused by former U.S. President Abraham NoMiddleName Lincoln. He is on the US 1¢ coin, and we use them for spacer on our silk screen printing frames on the end closest to the user. We tape a penny or two to the frame in order to help force the screen away from the cloth surface after applying ink. My wife had cleaned up several frames but forgot about the pennies and it got rotated 180 degrees so when the frame got loaded into the clamp that holds the frame, it didn't have as much wood to properly bite into. So I could eventuaLLy get it lined up perfectly but then it would shift suddenly after one or two shirts, ruining the shirt and starting the alignment process allover. The penny was almost covered up by the clamp bottom side so even when the frame was in its typical upright (not being used at this moment) state it was diificult to notice. So we learned an important lesson, but it did waste a day and a half production time. Luckily it wasn't a customer requested large order with a tight time frame, but rather a stock item for our store.

  3. If I may, please do not associate popularity (i.e. page views) with audience demand, and thus, use that as a queue for the direction you ought take. Your paradoxes have been fun and the artwork great.
Sure, you can chase pageviews as is your wont, but trying to play the game of whack-a-mole with pageviews will surely result in personal dissatisfaction. Please, pursue the things that interest you, not the audience, and you will find the audience that you want and the audience you want will find you. I think. Or not. screw it, pander. If you are deciding to pander, I'd like to see some Ninja Turtle/My Little Pony illustrated Slash Fiction. That'll get you hits.

    1. What i must remain the strange cult figure out in the wilderness ridiculed by the masses who throw rocks at me and laugh.

Talking of ponies we have gained horses in the fields behind us and I have not mentioned them yet. . .

You have enjoyed my paradoxes well theres a paradox I will try and think of some more. I wonder if that Very Nice Steven Spielberg fancies making a film called . . . The Curse of Paradox Island . . . filmed entirely on location in Liechtenstein

    2. I came to your blog to read comments, to see if there were any new ones, and it had something like "8 comments" as a hyperlink, but when I clicked it there was only one comment showing. When I tried again after putting my new comment, still nothing else would show. It finally worked right a couple hours later.
