The Crimson Castle, the Cat and the Canary

The Slightly eccentric A to Z blogging adventure of unknown and rather unpopular Modern fairy tales
2013

C The Crimson Castle, the Cat and the Canary
Crimson CASTLE is in the centre of the capital of the Crimson Kings crimson country where curious creatures call continuously in the countryside and creep about COLLECTING caterpillars. It is a very calm castle full if crumbling columns. The Crimson King known to his colleagues as King Colin has two cute pets he captured once on a crusade, they are a  CREAM canary and a cuddly cat. The CREAM canary and the cuddly cat live an idyllic life eating cake and crumpets.

One day the CREAM canary and the cuddly cat were talking, and the canary said
“I do love cake and crumpets they are completely delicious”
But the cuddly cat sighed and said
“I like cake and crumpet but something is just not right”

So the cream canary said “try some cucumber”
But the cuddly cat sighed and said
“mmm well I just feel cucumber is not right for a cat . . . . sigh”

So the cream canary said “try some coffee and crisps”
But the cuddly cat sighed and said
“mmm well I just feel coffee and crisps is not right for a cat . . . . sigh”

So the cream canary said “try some cheese and crackers”
But the cuddly cat sighed and said
“mmm well I just feel cheese and crackers is not right for a cat . . . . sigh”

So the cream canary said “try some coconut and Clementine”
But the cuddly cat sighed and said
“mmm well I just feel coconut and Clementine is not right for a cat . . . . sigh”

The cream canary looked at the cuddly cat and the cuddly cat looked at the cream canary and the cream canary said “I do love cake and crumpets they are completely delicious”.

Then the cat had a thought and found something that was really very very very yummy. He was going to tell the cream canary but the Cream Canary was no where to be seen and even though the crimson king searched the kingdom, the cream canary was never seen again and the cuddly cat lived happily ever after.

    1. Well Mr Flip I had a look at your blog, it only seemed right after all we cant do the A to Z and be all grumpy . . . . . AH right as it happens I am quite good at that but luckily it is sunny today and I am not grumpy. I have decided to follow your blog too, in general I tend to ponder such things for a while but you look like a quirky chap and I am a sucker for quirky blogs they are a bit like hens teeth in the world of blogs.

And then you did start your comment with WOW great that is a good start you are allowed to say that again at some point if you like but not too often are it may look contrived.

Thanks for calling by and thanks for the large bag of money (hang on where is the large bag of money?)......

    1. Well it is a cat and that was a canary, I think at some point something was going to give, and lets face it a cat can only eat so much cake and crumpets.

On the other hand I can eat loads of cake and crumpets.

It is only tinned meat that is eaten tomorrow by accident so that's OK (sort of)? Well maybe not but we can all make mistakes . . . . .HAH HAH HA HAHHAHH HAH HAH AH HAH HAHAH AHA HAHH hah hah ha hahah hah ah ha

    1. Many thanks I still have a lot of drawing to do yet but the words are done. I learnt a lot last year, the main thing to be prepared and have solid ideas sorted to make it easy.

  8. That crafty cat. What a calamity. My old cat did have a penchant for crisps and chocolate.

    1. We used to have a cat who was addicted to chocolate many moons ago, he was a lovely cat but our present cats do prefer birds, although they get told off rather a lot (the cats not the birds).
